inspir

Paintings, photographs, and life around me provide inspiration for my work.

I must first decide whether a painting or photograph or work of art is interesting or exciting enough to be interpreted into a scarf or throw. Foremost I must have a 'gut' reaction to it, then I can proceed with choosing colors and textures for the work.

Each scarf or woven piece is named for its origin, ie: "Fireflies in the Mist", "Birdsong after the Rain", or "inspired by a painting by John Singer Sargent: In a Levantine Port".
